BE Album Acknowledgements – j-hope

English translation and Korean lesson based on j-hope’s notes of thanks included in the physical copy of BTS’s 2020 album BE.

English Translation

In 2020, it feels like it’s become a completely different world. The flow, patterns, and way of life that we’d always naturally held were changed, and as we go through this time, I think there must be a lot of confusion felt by individuals.

I’m scared and afraid too. I’ve been reduced, and the things I’ve always done: meeting you all, going around the world performing, etc etc, so many things have become uncertain. To be honest, the darkness that comes every night at the thought of that is never welcome.

As life has gone on like this, I’ve had even more to think about, and questions to ask myself. In this situation, what is it that I can do? After going adrift a few times, the decision, the conclusion was “Let’s do what we have to do”, “Life goes on”, “I’ll become a comfort for myself and for everyone, through music and dance, like before.”

The result is the album “BE”, which every member directly participated in and poured their heart and soul into.

There are people who I’d like to thank for their involvement in that process.

You first this time: our ARMY!! For all the inspiration and compassion, and for being the most important reason for us to make this album, I want to thank you and tell you I love you.

And to the members!! During this time I realized once again that the greatest comfort and strength that exists is you. Thank you and I love you!!

And to the producers, company employees, and staff that worked together to make this album:

The team of producers, including PD Bang Shi-hyuk: Pdogg, Jang Lee-jeong, Kim Min-soo, Kang Hee-soo.

The A&R team: Nicole, Yang Hee-joo, Shin Da-yae.

The management team: Kim Shin-gyu, Lee Sa-nim, Kim Soo-bin, Lee Joong-min, An Da-sol, Kim Dae-yeong, Park Joon-tae, An Jong-hoon, Lee Seung-byeong, Yoon Tae-oong.
