Language Note:
The Korean name of this song is modelled after the Korean title of the Japanese Manga series “Attack on Titan”. The series’s Korean title is: 진격의 거인, meaning “Advancing Giant”. Therefore the Korean title of this song – 진격의 방탄 – means “Advancing Bangtan”.
진격하다 means to advance or charge, like in battle. Therefore the English title “Attack on Bangtan” isn’t really correct, and I suspect it’s only named that way so it matches “Attack on Titan” in English like it does in Korean.. The alternate title that’s fairly widely used by the fanbase – “Rise of Bangtan” – would be closer to the true meaning.
