Intro:

You gotta stay here for this

I love you

Chorus:

The girl of my dreams, but I ain’t fallin’ asleep

Think both of your legs gone, the way you fallin’ for me

The same way that the rain falls

I ain’t gon’ lie, you got it all, all, all, all, all of me

Verse 1:

Uh, loves all of you, like I’m John Legend or somethin’

Better save some room, for my heart, it’s a big one

I’ma give it to you, ain’t no better mood than you

Really helped me find my groove

Fake hoes come in by the pool

Real ones, there’s barely a few

But, somehow I found you

Harmony when I’m around you

Paradise when I’m around you (I’m around you)

These feelings brand new (Feelings brand new)

Lean when you fall, need your, need your love

A million miles, you would walk for me

All four oceans, you would cross for me

Stop sippin’ purple potion (For you, babe)

For you (Babe), keep it true, babe

If I ever try to leave, you’ll be stalkin’ me

Won’t let any other woman come and talk to me

I’d do the same thing if you leave, honestly

Or I would take your life away

Bridge:

Ah, ah, ah, ah-ah

Ah, ah, ah, ah-ah

Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah-ah

Chorus:

The girl of my dreams, but I ain’t fallin’ asleep

Think both of your legs gone, the way you fallin’ for me

The same way that the rain falls

I ain’t gon’ lie, you got it all, all, all, all, all of me

Yeah, all of me (All of me)

Yeah, all of me (All of me)

Yeah, all of me (All of me)

Yeah, yeah

Verse 2:

The other name for love is “blue”.

사랑 = love

-의 = indicates possession, like ‘s in English (사랑의)

다르다 = to be different

이름 = a name

파란색 = “blue” or “green” depending on usage. It’s typically translated as blue, but they refer to the colour green on traffic lights as 파란색 in Korea, so it can be either.

It’s just sometimes it’s green with life, and sometimes it’s cold.

그저 = just

싱그럽다 = to be fresh, alive, but this word is only for use when talking about plants and vegetation

때 = a point in time

어쩔 땐 = sometimes

차갑다 = to be cold (to the touch. You wouldn’t use this word to talk about the weather being cold, or about you physically feeling cold.)

-네 = adds a nuance of amazement (차갑네)

Love always accompanies loneliness.

항상 = always

외롭다  = to be lonely (외로움 = loneliness)

동반하다 = to accompany

In the same way, even being together feels lonely.

함께 = together

있다 = to be found, to exist

-게 = turns an adjective into an adverb. IE: “quick” becomes “quickly”. Here, “lonely” becomes “lonelyly”, which is not a word in English.

마찬가지 = in the exact same way

Oh-woah-oh-oh

I don’t need it anymore

Sometimes I’m laughing like a lunatic, yeah

미치다 = to be crazy

놈 = a guy, a person slangily (and sometimes a bit crudely)

많다 = to be many, much

웃다 = to laugh

또 많이 울기도, yeah

and I cry a lot too, yeah

또 = plus, and, also

울다 = to cry

Bu that was also me, so I feel so grateful to you.

나 = I, me

너 = you

-에게 = to X (너에게)

감사하다 = to be grateful, to appreciate

이렇다 = to be like this

We fought a lot too, didn’t we?

싸우다 = to fight

하다 = to do

-지 = adds a nuance of “you know” or “Don’t you agree?”

We chose the stick over the carrot.

(Literal translation is “whip” rather than “stick”, but he’s using the carrot-and-stick idiom.)

당근 = a carrot

아니다 = to not be X

채찍 = a whip

Our chemistry was so extreme.

너무 = so, too

극단적 = to be extreme, radical

케미 = chemistry (Konglish word)

It’s all water under the bridge.

(Literally “It’s all sunshine that has gone by.”)

다 = all, completely

지나가다 = to go past, to pass by

-아버리다 / -어버리다 = to go and do X, to completely do X. Read more here.(지나가버린)

햇빛 = sunlight, sunshine

Only in the end do we realize that love was love, and then it ends.

끝맺음 = an end, a conclusion

그게 = that

깨닫다 = to realize

-고 = to do X and…

끝 = the end

나다 =  to come up, to appear, to occur

Chorus:

The girl of my dreams, but I ain’t fallin’ asleep

Think both of your legs gone, the way you fallin’ for me

The same way that the rain falls

I ain’t gon’ lie, you got it all, all, all, all, all of me

The girl of my dreams, but I ain’t fallin’ asleep

Think both of your legs gone, the way you fallin’ for me

The same way that the rain falls

I ain’t gon’ lie, you got it all, all, all, all, all of me

The girl of my dreams, but I ain’t fallin’ asleep

Think both of your legs gone, the way you fallin’ for me

The same way that the rain falls

I ain’t gon’ lie, you got it all, all, all, all, all of me
