창 = a window

밖 = the outside of something

-에 = at X, on X (창밖엔)

또 = once again

비 = rain

오다 = to come

때 = the point in time when something happens

꼭 = without fail, certainly

네 = you

This silence in my room and

방 = a room

-니까 / -으니까 = because X (아프니까)

I’m a small corner, a small piece of your life.

당신 = you (formal/polite version)

-의 = indicates possession, like ‘s in English (당신의)

삶 = a life

한 = one

귀퉁이 = a corner

조각 = a piece

-이자 = “and” sort of. Used to indicate that something is two things at the same time. IE: “I’m a mother and a lawyer.” not “I like fish and chips”. (조각이자)

I’m a friend and sometimes familia for your emotions.

감정 = a feeling, an emotion

-들 = makes a noun plural (감정들의)

벗 = a friend

때로 = sometimes


때때론 잠시 쉬어 가고플 때

Sometimes when you really want a little rest,

잠시 = for a moment

쉬다 = to rest

가다 = to go

-고프다 = to be hungry for X, to really want to do X (가고플)


함께임에도 외로움에 파묻혀질 때

when you’re being buried in loneliness even though you’re together with someone,

함께임 = the act of being together

-도 = X too, even X (함께임에도)

외로움 = loneliness

파묻히다 = to be buried

when you’re drunk on nostalgia and you pull someone out of memory again,

추억 = memory; specifically memory that has emotion/nostalgia attached to it

그때야 = only then, not until that time

비로소 = finally, at least
