How It Works

I’m going to try to make this as simple and as readable as possible. Here’s what the average song breakdown will look like:

Verse or Chorus:

Line of lyrics in the original language.

English translation of line above.

All vocab from that line.

(I will only include a word or grammatical principle the first time it appears in a song.)

Next line of lyrics in the original language.

English translation of line above.

You already knew all the vocab in the line above, so here’s another one.

English translation.

More vocab.

I won’t usually include Konglish words in my definitions.

Words that are in English in the original lyrics will be italicized.

On both lines, if the English is mixed with Korean.

Alright, you get it.

Note: There may be times when I’ll split the lines slightly differently than how they look in the official lyrics. I’ll only do this when it’s not possible to line-by-line translate a sentence that runs across multiple lines.

If you’re in the mood to just read lyrics, just scroll through and read only the coloured text.
